Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana, enrolls around 30,000 students each year. Enrollment of incoming freshman has increased every year for the past four years, despite a nationwide trend toward declining enrollment of first year students. Purdue is famous for its Schools of Engineering, and has schools in the following fields: Agriculture, Consumer and Family Sciences, Education, Health Sciences, Liberal Arts, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy and Pharmacal Sciences, Science, Technology and Veterinary Medicine.

K-12 Education

A student living in Tippecanoe County may be enrolled in one of four school corporations - the Lafayette School Corporation (LSC), Tippecanoe County School Corporation (TSC), or the West Lafayette Schools Corporation. Parents may also choose a Public Charter School, one of the Lafayette Catholic Schools, or a private school.

About the Greater Lafayette School Systems

Tippecanoe School Corporation is the largest of the school corporations with 8836 students enrolled in its seven elementary schools, five middle schools and two high schools. Lafayette School Corporation, with eleven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school, enrolls 7267 students. West Lafayette School Corporation has 2064 students in its two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The Lafayette Catholic Schools serve 900 students.
